Reservation Policy and procedure
Upon making a reservation, the party leader must read these terms and conditions, and agree for and on behalf of all members of their party and their guests, binding them jointly and severally to them. 40% per cent of the fee is paid upon booking to The Folly, and the balance is then due four weeks before arrival. £500 damages deposit is also paid four weeks before arrival, to be refunded within 14 days of the end of booking subject to inspection.
We strongly recommend such insurance cover to protect our guests against cancellation.
The Folly policy is as follows: 100% cancellations permitted up to eight weeks prior to booking. 25% of booking fee is taken if canceled between eight and four weeks prior to start of booking. 40% of fee taken if canceled between 3-4 weeks prior to booking. 50% taken if canceled 2 weeks before booking. Full booking fee is charged if cancellation occurs within one week to start of booking.
Property condition and damages deposit
When you arrive, please check The Folly for cleanliness and damage. Notify us promptly of any problems or damage in writing by emailing email@example.com. You agree to leave The Folly cottage in arrival condition with no physical damage and with holiday rental and gardens and grounds neat and tidy. Loss of The Folly key or the property, gardens and grounds needing more-than-reasonable cleaning are all grounds for security deposit claims. The security deposit will be returned to you within 14 days after the date of your departure. If I am going to make a claim on your security deposit, we will email you describing the details within 14 days.
The owner’s rights
The owner is permitted right of entry at all reasonable times for purposes of inspection, repairs or maintenance. Only the number of guests agreed when the reservation is made may stay at The Folly. Large gatherings, house parties, etc., are absolutely not allowed unless agreed in writing when the reservation is made. Sub-letting is not permitted. Any disturbance resulting in neighbourhood complaints, police action, other illegal activities, illegal drug use, damage to the holiday rental, or violation of this agreement will be considered sufficient cause for immediate termination of your stay, and all monies paid will be forfeited. This agreement does not create a tenancy for the holiday rental; you can be removed from the holiday rental without process of law if you do not depart by the agreed time.
The Folly owner is not responsible for the safety of residents, guests, children and pets
The Folly owner is not responsible for the safety of renters, their families or their guests or for the loss or theft of or damage to their belongings whilst at the holiday rental. Guests agree to fully supervise their children at all times.
Renters, their family and their guests agree not to violate the quiet enjoyment of the surrounding neighbours and to respect their privacy and property.
The keys to The Folly will be available to you at the holiday rental after 4pm on the day of your arrival. They must be posted back through the letter box after locking up on your departure.
This holiday rental is individually owned and managed. We have described The Folly in detail to the best of our ability, but cannot make the decision for you and will not be responsible if you are not happy with your choice on arrival. The rental payment will not be refunded in these circumstances.
Unless otherwise agreed in advance with The Folly owner, arrival time is to be no earlier than 4pm. Departure Time is to be no later 10 am.
